Sale Event Other Matthew Christopher Onassis Dress

My experience buying my dress was very special. I went into the bridal shop to look for a dress and there happened to be a Matthew Christopher trunk show. I had never heard of this designer (though I didn't know much) and he was there in person. He was the most delightful man I could have possibly worked with. I tried on a large number of his dresses as well as those from some other designers. He gave honest opinions and shared laughs with my mother, sister and I. In the end I settled on the Onassis dress because it was like nothing I had ever seen before. We made some alterations to make the dress more fitted and to cover up the bust area a bit more so that I did not feel self conscious. Matthew was there every step of the way and oversaw all of this work himself. My dress was truly one of a kind and I loved it with all my heart. I can only hope that it can provide the same joy to someone else on their wedding day instead of hiding in my closet for the rest of time!
